Our Projects
The Vietnam Australia Vocational Skills Institute (VAVSI)
The Vietnam Australia Vocational Skills Institute (VAVSI) is the latest collaborative initiative between New Edge Education Group and Hoang Minh International Manpower Joint Stock Company.
Under VAVSI, Australian standard training can be delivered in Vietnam through linking Australian registered training organisations and businesses with opportunities in Vietnam to deliver skill development programs in areas of demand. Facilities, resources, and training support are sourced from our partner institutions and organisations in Vietnam, allowing for the delivery of flexible, low cost, targeted and outcome orientated skill development programs.
VAVSI was officially launched in Ho Chi Minh City on the 30th November 2023 in front of an audience of notable dignitaries from both the Vietnamese and Australian governments, education providers and industry. Currently, VAVSI has 64 students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education and Care stream, 52 students in the Aged Care stream and 11 students in the construction stream.

Australia - Vietnam Engagement Strategy on Vocational Education
NEEG, through consultancy with key stakeholders in Australia and Vietnam, have identified six (6) key areas of program focus.
1. Vocational Scholarship Programs: Study abroad vocational training programs in key target sectors of skills deficit and high employability in Vietnam, nested within Vietnamese qualifications, fully funded by institutions and industry.
2. Dual Degree Programs: Cross institutional collaboration to deliver academic programs that allow students to pursue Australian and Vietnamese qualifications simultaneously, with study abroad opportunities in Australia.
3. Stakeholder Forums and Dialogue Exchange: The organisation of bilateral education forums and events that provide opportunities for a wide range of stakeholders involved with the education sector in both countries to share their perspectives, exchange information and contribute to decision making around project priorities, design and implementation.
4. Curriculum and Lecturer Exchange: The creation of partnerships between Australian and Vietnamese institutions to exchange academic material, teaching methodologies and faculty members in order to enhance the quality and diversity of education and the sharing of best practices.
5. In-Country Workplace Training: Training programs that allow Vietnamese students to develop practical vocational skills, supplementing college-based training in Vietnam with traineeships in Australia.
6. Increasing English Capabilities in Vietnam
NEEG is committed to building networks and opportunities for the implementation of these focus programs. In 2023, a number of pilot programs were initiated, and we are proud of the positive outcomes achieved.
